but, you can take out the "a" to make it sound better.
Which gum has longer lasting flavor?
( capatilize the "w" in which, too!)

Number 1 is the correct sentence. I agree with the person that said that Which gum has longer lasting flavor? sounds better. Leave the "a" out.

I would say you should take out the "a" as well:
Which gum has longer lasting flavor?
or if you want to go in a little bit of a different direction
Which gum's flavor lasts longer?
If you want to use proper English, it works with OR without the dash, but if you are using this on a poster, hyphenated words will clutter up the general look.

Depends. In the US, 1 is correct. In the UK 3 is correct. Two is never correct, because there is no such thing as a longer flavor so you would not break up longer and lasting with a comma.

How about
Which gum lasts the longest?
I assume people would agree that, Which gum lasts the longest? is refereing to flavor so you can take that out

Number 2. Number 1 is seen more in ads. Advertisers are dumbing down America. ie spelling flavor as "flava" or stuffed as "stuft" I am embarrassed that some kids actually spell this way!!!!
