If you`re thinking of caring for the elderly call into all the residential ( not nursing, nursing means harder physical work as most of the residents will be more immobilised and incapacitated) homes in your area. They will probably be able to accomodate you. Your Job Centre may also have vacancies advertised. In any care setting you are subject to an enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check though before you can start work, and that can take some time to come through. You will also need references. You could also try your local hospital or care agencies who will be listed in the yellow pages.
