I've had a set of fireworks in my basement for a while now, and I keep forgetting to use them. After a certain amount of time passes, will they "go bad" and not be as explosive?

They should not be able "go bad" as you said if you can make them dry so the moisture can go out. Inside there is powder which will triggers flashes, booms, and colors. When they are damp, they don't won't work as well because moisture will make fire not able to light that easily.

It'll probably still light up, but may not do what it's originally designed to do.
