If both of you are using the same computer but different accounts, try this

open your brother's itunes go to Edit> than Preferences> than go to the Sharing> tab than Check "Share my library on my local network" (it's best not to put a password) now press OK.

Now log onto your account, open itunes go to Edit> Preferences> Sharing> and Check "Look for shared libraries," press OK. Hopefully if you've done everything right you'll have all of the same songs on your itunes library.

Now all you have to do is connect your ipod to the computer.

You'll need to either use his play lists, or if you have two seperate computers, burn his songs to a cd and them import them into your iTunes program. The iPod does not allow songs to go from computer -> iPod -> computer. It only allows the songs to go from computer -> iPod.
