It's really weird, she likes me to choke her during sex, and this seems counter-intuitive, due to the fact that choking someone is usually considered a hostile act, not one of love. I do that for her regardless because she likes it and it is kinda cool in a strange way, but I'm at a loss to understand this. I've heard it's not really that uncommon of a practice either, so (for the ladies mostly) my question is, what do you get out of this? What's going through your head etc? Just trying to better understand my own female here at home.

It's not actually shutting off her air supply or oxygen. It's just a firm pressure to her throat, not like I'm squeezing as hard as possible and wringing her neck or anything.

Yeah, I actually like being choked (lightly) too. From a scientific point of view, the lower supply of oxygen to the brain is supposed to enhance your sexual sensations and make it easier to orgasm. I know it works for me! I don't really know what to say from a psychological point of view... at first you would think that it is some control thing that they/we crave and maybe to a degree it is... I like a little bit of that but I don't like it when someone is too controlling... so I don't think it has everything to do with the control factor. It's just a great sensation, if she enjoys it, you shouldn't feel bad or awkward about it, just have fun with it! Happy sex to you!

This is called "the choking game". It is VERY dangeous. A lot of people, mostly young, play this game to reach a high or a rush (feeling of pleasure).

A bunch of teenagers die from this every year. Don't do it anymore...she may end up dead. It cuts off oxygen/blood flow to the brain, and even if it may feel good to her for a few seconds or a minute, she may black out/faint and not wake up. Better safe than dead.

Being choked for woman is more of a dominance thing. Some it is for security as well during a messed up life. Knowing your Man is under control at least one thing in both of your lives is a turn on. a weird since of security.

PLEASE clarify if by "choking" you mean actually causing her to cease breathing, or if you're just kind of grabbing her neck, but not preventing her from breathing normally.

It's called rough sex, some girls like it. If they do, consider yourself lucky, they tend to be more exciting in bed.

Yes, it is normal. Sex is as much an act of establishing gender roles and dominance as it is about copulation. Some women like to be controlled, almost as a form of assurance. Likewise, some men like to choke women during sex because it represents their dominance. It is not necessarily demeaning, and "choking" in this sense merely means clutching the neck tightly, not actually cutting off airflow or anything dangerous like that.

The post below about "the choking game" is wrong. The choking game refers to something else, entirely nonsexual. Disregard it - he is wrong.

It's a very dangerous game that you're playing! I've had asphyxia done on me before and the girl didnt know what she was doing (she hand-cuffed me, gagged me and stepped on my throat all at my consent but she didnt know that I was out until it was almost too late) If you're gonna do it then be very careful with her.

It's not creepy or weird! It's hot if you trust your partner. For me, it has nothing to do with oxygen deprivation making my orgasm more intense. It's about being totally dominated by my partner. Knowing that he could really hurt me if he wanted to but trusting him not to is so sexy!
