Apparently, we all display some degree of obsessive behaviour, and we all have our little foibles.
I personally cannot go to bed without straightening the throws on the sofas and plumping the cushions - it actually makes me feel uncomfortable if I haven't done it.
What do you HAVE to do?

Peachy - like your way of thinking. But it's a bit flawed in my case as my mother didn't teach me anything like that. I just think I hate waking up in the morning to a messy living room - and crumpled throws just makes it look messy.

Jeez, I may be in trouble. I do just about everything mentioned and so many, many more. Where to start???
I hate for there to be any dirty dishes in the sink even for a minute. Before you ladies jump on me (although it might be pleasant), I don't expect someone to wash MY dishes. I wash my own. I can't stand it when after my diligence, someone else thinks nothing of filling the sink either one dish at a time or all at once and leaving them overnight!
I used to do those dishes just to get them out of my way, because if I needed to wash dishes I used, the ones in the sink would be in my way. But enough is enough. Now, I just take whatever's in there out, do my dishes and then put the others back in the sink.
I think I'm running out of space and time here. LOL

I went through a phase of getting on the train and sitting in the same seat-my station is near the beginning of the line so the train is empty when it pulls in,I would then read the free newspaper and do the sudoku puzzle.I realised it was a bit obsessive when I made it to work from another station and didn't get a seat let alone the one I normally get and secondly didn't read the paper and do the puzzle.I felt as if something was wrong and realised the routine I had got myself into.

My only obsession is to try to stay attached to my comfy seat and or computer for as long as possible without some shitthouse reminding me what a sad life I have. As if! I love doing things like this obsessively - beats the devil out of housework, cooking, and ironing whats that. Oh, and my abiding obsession which is irritating is being thin AND I AM NOT. Having said, all that, I obsess that the work surfaces are clean even tho I haven't been near them for days. My partner says I am bone idle but at least I have plenty of hobbies and obsessions to relieve the monotony.

I just HAVE to figure out why people behave the way they do. I believe I may have figured it out. I just finished watching "Remember The Titans", with Denzel Washington. It seems to do with the way people are taught to believe how things ought to be which affects their whole attitude and, hence, their behavior. You believe you should straighten your throws out because your mother taught you that that's the way things ought to be, so that's what you believe and that's why you behave the way you do. It's actually kind of fun watching people being obsessive. My biggest obsession is playing with people's minds. I particularly love teaching know-it-alls that they don't know nearly as much as they think they do. My mother was quite good at this and, I suppose, I picked up this behavior from her.

Dishes have to be washed and house tidied up before I can go to bed. Bed has to be made and breakfast dishes cleared away before I go into my office and turning on the computer to start work.
I think it's called obsessive-compulsive behavior.

I have to make lists. I'm even to the point I make lists of lists I need to make.
Also, when walking on the sidewalk I can't step on the cracks and I have to have an even number of steps in a square.
And counting stairs. I can't help but count stairs as I am on them.
