Though switching the category to Adolescent from Teen & Preteen threw off a great many teenagers and the frequency of non parenting related questions decreased sharply, at least for a while, the Adolescent category still seems overtaken by teenagers looking for their own little niche and refusing to comprehend that as a SUB category of Parenting and Pregnancy, Adolescent was intended for questions from parents regarding their adolescent (teenage) children.
If you have a question about make-up, categorize it as make-up, shoes-fashion, dating-dating, etc, etc.

Unless there is a block for your age group put in by your parents u can go to any category u want! Just ignore some of the ummmmm really weird questions! lol

There seem to be a lot of teens on the dating section. But it's really not appropriate for preteens. They should really have a section to cater to younger users. Granted certain ages should have their parents monitering what they are doing online.

I assume you can go anywhere.
However, if your parents aren't monitoring what you're doing, either they don't know much about what's on the internet - unrestricted - or else they must trust you quite a bit.
There are a lot of wierdoes on the Internet. Browse and learn, but don't get into a conversation with someone who wants to know your real name (Is that your real name in your Yahoo ID? Best change it to something else) or any hints about where you live or go to school.

Depends on what you mean by catagory.I'll be 13 in like next week.It's not really good to put yourself in catagorys.Lableing just makes everything worse and if you mean things like getting peircings or hormones and sex or whatever, then those catagorys come and go so don't place yourself in a catagory.If it's in yahoo under adolesants or the elementry school kids go with adolesant if you think your mature enough.If not stick with what you can relate to.
