Its so sad, do the Russians reckon they can get away with murder (quite literally) just because they have all the gas? The lunatics really have taken over the asylum haven't they.

Toietmoi, the most Russia will get is a slap on the wrist, because they have all the gas. The sanctity of human life eh? I always said if we don't have human rights we have nothing, now look at the world.

Well, we don't know for definite that it was the Russians behind it. Not being naive, just a statement of fact.
But let's face it, everyone does it: The Israelis (Mossad) are the best at getting rid of their enemies on an individual basis. the French have tried (e.g. Rainbow Warrior) but aren't so efficient, and don't tell me that Britain and the US haven't assassinated a few.
I do feel profoundly sorry for his wife and family, and I abhor the fact that anyone should be killed for standing up for what they believe to be right, but let's not leap to judgement.

The smiling face of russia doesnt fool the wise.
there was no illusion of the repressive communist former soviet union. Now vladimir putin parades himself as an international statesman with an open and forward thinking state under his control.
The truth is, russia is more corrupt than ever , from the mafia controlled streets of drug abuse .To the poisoning and shooting of outspoken critics and leaders of former soviet states.
Unfortunately , the new found wealth of russia ,and limitless supplies of gas an oil, europe is very much held to ransome and criticism at international level is rare.
think im going to stay away from fish for a while!

It is sad.
This is a common practise for Russian secret services and they get away with it of course. Our government needs to make clear to the Russians that we will not tolerate assassination on British soil.

No, I don’t think the government will be softy on the Russians because of the gas.
Do u expect the Russians to say that unless we assassinate people u will not get any gas.
That does not make sense to me- The Russians supply gas to Europe and it is very important to their economy—We have the winning card methinks.
I suspect the government will say something like this “kill some where else, OK Putin”

I really hoped that he would pull through and tell everything he knew. But they've got him! How sad. I don't think that their gas supply would stop them from being brought to justice, I think the problem is they probably did it so well, that our police will never be able to find out how, who, when, what... It is sad and now Sasha has been silenced forever.

I'm pretty sure the Russians knew that the spy would know it was them. They just didn't want him to talk about what he knew. I don't get it, but maybe it makes sense to them!?!
