I receive the following error : The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem. Error Number: 0x80004005.

I thought at first it was Windows Defender because it wouldnt update its definitions and so I removed the program but still I have not found a solution to this problem and sadly I cannot update via the update site.

Does anyone have any solutions? many thanks in advance.

You are probably using a pirated version of Windows. If you are not, then try this tweak, it does work at times.
Reduce your system time i.e. Windows time by a couple of minutes. Reboot your PC and try to install the updates.
