Well... I always try to be polite.
And I like this job and this is very good boss. So, I'd probably be very sorry and would say so. Who knows... I might even cry.
But when I resigned last job... Oh, God, I was so glad and happy. Still... I didn't say that, but I said - I am leaving, I thought long and carefully about that and I can not stand this job anymore (nor them, but I didn't say that). I hate coming here I hate being here, so please understand that I need to leave.
They were angry, but... OMG, that is their problem. They weren't nice at all. Still, I stayed for 2 weeks until they were supposed to find someone, which they failed. (I really wonder why)

I'd thank her for the pleasure of working for her...tell her if I haven't given her some info she needs to call me...and tell her I regret resigning.
I can't say I "love" my job, but I work for a wonderful person, on a great team, and I'm not in the least stressed...and it's like the first time in 30 years. So, I'm not complaining, and they'll have to probably PRY me out.

I'd say 'I Love You' ~ 'cause I'm lucky that the boss I have now is a really cool lady.
