is it right to wear pinstriped pants with black running shoes shoes (plain black) to a semi-formal event.

uhmm..NO! get yourself some nicer looking shoes! preferably some high heels...anything but running shoes!!!

I wouldn't recommend it. Pinstripe clothes are formal and business-like, while running shoes are athletic and more casual. Black heels would look much, much better.

Running shoes are casual wear,they don't belong anywhere near a semi-formal.Wear some sort of heel.... If you were just hanging out it would be cool though, a kind a funky,hip look.

No try ballet flats or maybe some heels but defiently no running shoes no matter the color.
