Steve Burns did not commit suicide. That's an urban legend, as is the story that he overdosed. On Law & Order he played a guy who was autistic and died before the opening credits. Some kids saw that and freaked out that Steve had died.

He went to college on the show but he probably left because he was getting too old. My toddler loves Blue's Clues and I have watched a lot of the episodes. He was a good actor, the new guy Joe seems weird.

hmmmm always wondered that. One day I was flipping through the channels and saw blues clues was on and I used to love that show so i turned it on for a min. and the old steve was no where to be found. My friends daughter said The new Steeve is supposed to be his "Brother" .
He must have gotten fired or tired of the show.

he left the show to pursue other projects he has appeared on Law & Order and other prime time shows he still helps the writers for the blues clues show

But in real life he tried to over dose so they fired him!
