I first had a pelvic exam when I was a virgin too. I found it was uncomfortable and maybe, at times, mildly painful, but really nothing to worry over. The Dr will spray a lubricant before they put the speculum inside you to help ease any discomfort. I know this sounds impossible, but try to relax as much as possible, and this will also help things from being more uncomfortable. Most Dr’s will put a blanket over you while they examine you so you are more comfortable and feel less exposed. While you are there, you should also get them to do a quick breast exam to check for lumps (I don’t know if that’s a common part of the exam for where you are, but it is in my neck of the woods…and it’s better safe then sorry!) And don't worry about bleeding. If there is any blood, it will be a very small amount (ie, not enough to show up on your underwear) Afterwards, you might feel a little stretched but that will go away pretty quickly.
Good Luck!

tell the doc in advance that you are a virgin. if he/she is a good one, he/she will not hurt you. i don't know why you have a pelvic exam, but please relax. it might feel a little uncomfortalbe because you are not used to, but it shoud not hurt.
you will sit on that chair and have to open your legs. if the doc really cares, the instruments shoud be warmed up. don't be scared of the instruments, they look worse than they are.
if you are really scared, you should take your mom or a good friend with you to hold your hand. (also when it's not necessary, smile). if you think you can not get along with that doc, get another one. talk to him/her before and tell him/her about your worries.
the doc is there to help you with your problem, not to hurt you.
most important thing is the communication between doc and patient.
please don't worry and all the best

It will not hurt..the M.D. will use a very small speculum..looks like a duck bill..He/she will put a jelly on it so it will slide easily inside you.Be sure and let them know you are a virgin..if you tighten up it will make it more uncomfortable..think of going to the beach..relax..I used to have the ladies tell me about school, favorite things to do, any thing to take their mind off the exam..also the Dr will use a swab or very small brush to collect a sample..it will feel funny but will not hurt. They will put 1 or 2 fingers in and press on your belly just above your pubic bone to check the uterus and ovaries.they may also put 1 finger into your rectum and press on your belly..remember to Dr.s and nurses this is just like looking down your throat or into your ear..you will do fine.

If you do bleed it will be so little you will barly notice. It is more uncomfortable than anything. If it does hurt it only last a minute and it is noy like to is torture. It only last a minute. I've had dozens of then. Don't tense up, just try to relax. It's not that bad. Like I said it's more uncomfortable, It's more the thought of it that anything. The thought of the doctor doing it. Just relax.

It is a bit uncomfortable. The doctor will insert a metal tool (looks like a duck bill) called a speculum and it is not much bigger than a large tampon into your vagina. Once it is in, he/she will open the speculum creating a tunnel for them to examine you. Try to relax. You will have more discomfort if you are stressed out about it. Good luck!

It will not hurt any more or less, it is all al little uncomfortable. Not everyone bleeds but it can be a side affect, it is all part of being a woman. Relax, it will be fine. Be proud of who you are.

The doctor will address all of your issues. Do not be afraid of asking questions. Everything will be fine.
