Learn to read lips. Learn a couple of new languages. Get some of those rear view shades. Get some practice in with a small caliber handgun and become proficient with it. Buy some wigs and other disguise items. Practice dressing and acting like a guy for awhile, it may come in handy. Have some fake IDs made. Go to a spy shop and get some of those tiny cameras. No, I am not joking.

ok, my cousin and I are detectives and spys. You need a partner who you can trust and will for sure help you and keep a secret. You need a note pad for sure to write down any suspects or suspisous things. You might wanna go to the discovery channel store and find some good spy gear. And if you are going to be a serious spy u need to be in contact with a police. Hope this works and good luck!
