Go from the date that your last periods ended. How many days did this one last? Take this into consideration. The best way to generally predict when you will have a period (this works ONLY if your cycles are normal): Study your cycles for the next 4 months---I'll help you with this question in a minute...don't freak. Mark the start and stop date of each period. How many days were there from the stop date of the last period to the start date of the next one? Is there a fairly consistent number (ie: 21, 23, etc.)? Start, counting the last day of your last cycle, and count that many days up. You'll be close, if not on target. Follow this formula with the period you're concerned about. I used to do this before I entered peri menopause where nothing is predictible because my body is trying to go into menopause (I'm not trying to scare you...I'm just letting you know that this is what you'll face later in life---all women do unless they've had partial or total hystorectomies before the peri menopause/menopause phase of their lives.).

Start with the first day of your last period. About 14 days from there you will ovulate and about 28 days you will start again.

many women don't have a cycle of exactly 28 days, but if your period started today, it would be the first day, so count 28 days from today.
