Last month, I asked the question on here: "What is the big deal with Sushi? Especially when it comes to girls and dating?", and the common response that I got (especially from girls) was that it was "light and delicate." I didn't think that this was the case, so I went to a nice Sushi Bar in Visalia, CA (Tokyo Garden to be exact) with some friends from work, and I tried some Sushi (for the first time ever in my life) to see for myself. I had a California Roll (which was really good), and a Sushi plate that consisted of 3 different kinds of raw fish on top of rice (which was very nasty). Anyway, I can tell you all right now that it was NOT light and it was NOT delicate. For example when I ate one piece of the California Roll, it was like I was eating a 3 course meal all at once, in one bite! As for the other dish, it was so much food that I couldn't finish it all. Anyway, those girls were wrong, but it seems that all girls and women in general like all things light and delicate. Right?

Okay, first of all, you started too high when it came to sushi. You have to start off slow, and simple.

Your best bet would have been if you had gone to someplace like a buffet, or a sushi bar where everything went by on a conveyer belt.

Then you should have started with shrimp, unless of course you can't have shellfish, then you should start with tuna or salmon. Then some red snapper, maybe some fluke, and then some mackerel If you find the regular mackerel too salty, or it reminds you too much of herring, which I happen to like, then try Spanish mackerel, which is light and can considered delicate.

Now, as to what sushi has to do with dating, I have no idea. Unless it has to do with what a guy is willing to do to go out with a girl, and in some cases, that means eating raw fish.

I think Sushi is light and delicate. Its delicate because it falls apart very easily when you try to eat it, so you have ot eat it carefully. Its light because you only get like 4 pieces per roll and and no matter how many rolls you get it wont fill you up. Maybe i just eat a lot. I do prefer italian or mexican food cuz the plates are huge.
Anyways, you're missing the best part of sushi...the SAKI BOMBS!

I like all sorts of food from Japanese, Chinese, Italian, American...
I like sushi because it tastes good. I also like panins (Italian) and hell, give me a steak and potatoes sometime. As far as light and delicate- im sorry, but screw that. By no means do I eat like a pig, but im not going to starve myself and eat 1/2 a salad to impress you.

Some girls will do the light and delicate and they have been sucked in to the celebrity world (must be a size negative 2 to be pretty.)
As far as eating, eat 4-5 "mini" meals a day...not 3 big ones. Eating smaller meals more a day increases your metabolism and will help ya lose weight.

I hope I answered your question. If I didnt, Im sorry.

Whew, that's a long question! But anyway... I'm not sure what they put in your sushi, but I have to eat a fair bit in order to actually become full. Sushi DOES tend to be light and delicate... and a sushi meal usually consists of sampling lots of different things. No, I'm not a woman... but I definitely see sushi as an elegant, light dining experience.

To answer your question on sushi.. I think the hype about sushi is that it is an acquired taste..It is also considered exotic, and pricey... food for the more refined...at least that is what I've been told....I think that's all a bunch of S***, except for acquiring a taste for it!
