You should pick the one you know you will enjoy the most. What people say doesn't matter on this you may come to find out in the long run thats not the right career.

Since you are apparently decided on Theatre Education, I would suggest that you talk to an adviser in that department at Illinois State University as to how likely you are to get a job teaching theater at the secondary school level. You should select a minor that is in demand in secondary school so you will have a second field in which you can qualify to teach. You probably will be taking mostly general education courses your freshman year, so you have some time to make up your mind about your minor.

Incidentally, on average, freshmen will change their major four times before they graduate. You, however, seem to definitely have an interest in Theatre Education, so it may be that it is only your minor that you will change!

Music Education, of course, is a complete degree in itself. You should decide to take that major only if you have already studied voice and have demonstrated an outstanding talent in it.

Theater Education and Music Education. This would effectively combine all the things you want to teach. Good luck we need more young people to go into teaching and music is a wonderful thing to teach.

Go with the 2nd or 3rd option. They will probably give you a better chance at getting a job when you get out.

But if you get there and decide that these aren't for you, don't worry too much about it. Lots of people change their majors when they're in college. So be sure to work hard on the basics that are required for all majors - math, english, sciences, etc, so that if you do change, you are still prepared for the new major.
