Most effective was a technique not a line. Sit at the bar and read a book, a good book, ignoring everyone. Women will start coming up to you one after the other asking why you are reading a book in a bar. Be snippy, and say that you just want to be left alone so you can read. Eventually a woman will come up and say, "What are you reading?", THAT is the woman you want to talk to (other factors being within tolerance levels). Start by talking about the book and branch out from there.

I have never actually used a pick up line before...its more of a pick up conversation if anything...that does not mean that I actually pick them up...just chattin! LOL
