5th person down who's name is so long i can't remember....it is true, if you onle have two friends then you can count them on one hand...

well yes...but i have been dumped on by so many in the past that i only have acquaintances now...but yes it is true...

Depends, of course, what you mean by "true friend" .... but I would say that anyone who has more than one or two "true friends" is unusually lucky.
I'm not denigrating having a lot of friends, even a lot of good friends, but in general most people can only share a certain level of closeness and openness with one or two other people, assuming you can find the right people to be open with. The sort of people you feel like you can talk about anything with, trust with your secrets, with your car or other important possessions, even with your life.
Those people are, I think, very rare for most people. Having more than one or two at any given point in your life would be a real stroke of fortune.

Yes i believe that it is I have lots of friends, but I only have 4 that I can really rely on and I know that will be there for me no matter what happens. Don't get me wrong I love all my friends by when it comes down to the serious things these 4 people have always been there and always will be

A true friend is one upon whom you can rely 100% to be there for you when you need them for help and support no matter what the circumstances and no matter what the time day or night.
Personally I think it is true,we have many acquaintance's in life,perhaps many close family members but very very few true friends there for you when you need them as you would be for them if they needed you.
Don't lament the lack of few real friends,rather be thankful that you have the few who matter !

I would say if you end your days having true friends on the path through life .......enough to count on one hand then you have been rich indeed.

Sorry girl that's true. But it's not that disappointing if you think about it. With your TRUE best friends you share your life. Would you really want them to be more?????

YOU LUCKY IF YOU CAN COUNT PAST THE FIRST FINGER...TRUE FRIENDS ARE HARD TO FIND BUT WE USUALLY DO NOT SEE THAT UNTIL WE LOSE THEM AS A FRIEND THAT'S WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THOSE AROUND THAT REALLY CARE ABOUT YOU.

just tried this an found it to be false i have 7 true friends (ex army} the rest are just mates who i see now an again who never served in uniform
