Would the discovery of extraterrestrials shake the foundations of
the Abrahamic religions? (Christianity, Judiasm, and Islam)
Centered around the Abrahamic religions is the concept of man being created in the image of God, and the earth as the center of creation.

Could it even bring down the three Abrahamic religions all together? It would show that humans are not so special in the universe after all...

"There is nothing there that says that this Creator did not create life on other planets. That "earth as the center of creation" simply applies to this planet "

The Abrahamic concept is that mankind is created in the image of God, and is thus perfect. Therefore, according to the old & new testament, and the Koran, there are NO other being in the entire universe that is more intelligent than man.

Nothing of this kind would happen. The stranglehold of religion is so strong on human minds that even the discovery that there are other parallel universes elsewhere would not loosen it. In fact, the findings of such a bewieldering variety of intelligent 'human beings' would firm up their faith in God and belief in His infinite capacity of creation.Perhaps if the aliens are also religious they might be having similar ideas of their being created in the image of their god in which case there would a confluence of ideas further bolstering religion. When the monotheist and polytheist religions came into contact with each other both of them adjusted their beliefs to the new findings. The monotheists took that the many forms of god are but the multifarious manifestations of a single god. The polytheists joined in by saying that God is essentially one and only one and all others are his forms taken by him on various occasions. The Indian philosopher Shankaracharya says that even a savage performing human sacrifices is a religious person in no way inferior from the philosoher who attempts to attaain god merely through meditation. The difference is only in degrees. The savage does not sacrifice human just for satisfying his tougue with flesh. He has an unclear and yet definitely an idea to rise above him.The clash of civilisations which is at present much talked about is not essentially bad. It is an opportunity of evolving a deeper understanding of each other.

Depends on what you mean by extraterrestrials. Depending on the religion, Angels Demons and Jinns have been walking among us for years. They are not of this earth but still there was a time when they even impregnated the daughters of man. That's the explanation behind how Giants came to be on earth. What terminology would we use to describe these giants? Extraterrestrials too or the children of extraterrestrials? See thats why its so hard to reason these things. It might just boil down to how you look at it. Yet if they were scientifically discovered, it would only prove the veracity and authenticity of these religions.

I see you don't read science fiction. This has been covered.

Consider that according to religion, G~d/Allah/Great Spirit or whatever name you apply, created life on earth. There is nothing there that says that this Creator did not create life on other planets. That "earth as the center of creation" simply applies to this planet alone and creatures of other worlds would have their own messengers and prophets, and their own center of life.

I dont' think it whould shatter the religion, but lot of people might see religion in a different way. It would alter peoples percseption of god.The fact that there is aliens doesn't mean we are not special just means the aliens are also special. I'm christian, but i believe that somewhere in this vast universe there is life. Maybe its not intelligent life, but its life none the less.

till now the hot worldwide became stumbled on (North and South united statesa.), the natives did no longer recognize something by any ability of Abrahamic faith which comprise Islam or Christianity. The Bible by no ability mentioned something approximately "different existence" in the worldwide. Do they flow to hell in basic terms for being born there? it rather is totally plenty equivalent to the question of extraterrestrial existence. So no, faith will possibly no longer likely be phased in the slightest.
