The major difference can be seen in the roof structures of the Partheon and the Parthenon The Romans used concrete to span a large distance, whereas the Greeks were limited to what could be supported on columns and lintels.

The effect was to have large open spaces whereas the Greeks buildings would have a forest of pillars
