Every time I shave I wind up with bumbs and ingrown hairs covering my face. How do I get rid/avoid this?

I think you're problem might be that you're not shaving WITH the growth of the hair. If you shave the way the hair grows you shouldn't have this problem. Otherwise, you will have irritation.
