Trying to conceive?

I would like to understand the whole ovulation cycle. I understand that you will have better luck getting pregnant if you have sex when you are ovulating. But what about the rest of the days? Say you ovulate around the 14th, you have sex around the 20's can you still get pregnant. If you are unfertile on those days, does that mean you can't get pregnant at all?

Hello -- I can tell you how to get pregnant. This really worked for me, as my time clock was ticking away.
You need to go out and get an Ovulation Kit called, FIRST RESPONSE. What this kit does it tests your urine every morning
first thing, then when it turns BLUE you can have a baby,
It doesn't give you gender it gives you a baby. I have three
healthy boys to prove it. So good luck.

if you ovulated on the 14th, you could get pregnant most by having sex on days 10-16ish. Sperm live for 2-3 days, and unfertilised eggs for about 24 hours. On other days of the cycle, you would be very unlikely to get preg.

The above answers are mostly very good advice, assuming you have a normal 28 *ish day cycle. Do a lil research on it and I would recommend charting your cycle using basal body temperature or cervical mucus (not as gross as it sounds) to determine when in your cycle you are fertile. Good luck!

Speaking of charting, you should try fertilityfriend.com. It's a free online charting community. They have message boards with very helpful advice. It's a great program and there are lots of people to answer questions/give support.

you are more fertile 14 days after the first day of your last period, but a couple of days before 14 days and a couple of days after you are still at your most fertile, if you have sex around these days you are more likely to conceive, if you have sex on 20th day doest mean you cant just that you are far less likely
