I do hope they put a better show on than i have seen or else the answer is No, I also think Freddie Flintoff is not the guy for the job as Captain give it to Strauss, Hurry up back Vaughaney we need a Yorkshire man as Captain, we are also missing Simon Jones aswell, Please give Panasar a go at bowling to.

Even if the Aussies had declared at the end of the first day, England have no chance. Heard some of the English fans today saying the Aussie bowlers were passed it and they would get their chance. Laughed so hard I almost peed mysel!! McGrath will still be using the English batsmen for target practice when he is 80!

If it was a boxing match, it would have been stopped by now!

No. I think England needed to be at absolute full strength to beat Australia at home. The bowlers are still a little dodgy with Harmison and Flintoff returning from injury, missing Vaughn and now Bell is injured, they are in big trouble

It would be brilliant if it happened but i doubt it, they really need michael vaughan and simon jones

By the way, the Ashes are only played for between England and Australia cricket teams
So how the Irish would win them is totally beyond me!

Considering the strength and form of Australia, Englnd will not be able to retain the Ashes.

No. The English (not so much the actual team but certainly their supporters) were so quick to write the Australians off as old and past their best. This arrogance mirrors the prior arrogance displayed by the Australians that they were unbeatable......

England is way out of it's league. Completely outclassed.

EDIT>> I'd just like to add that I was obviously understating it quite a bit. Make any excuses you want England, there is a massive gulf here. England is just a minnow with a trophy to return to it's rightful owner.
