Start by using spell check - colleges . . .

They usually base their admissions on a number of factors including high school grades, SAT test scores, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and community activities.

The previous three are correct! You have to at least know how to use spell check, if it doesn't come naturally to you.

However, that's merely the beginning...take some interesting courses, throw yourself into extracurricular activities, you can even volunteer in your community for letters of support to submit with your college application. And definitely keep your grades up!!! Good luck!
