I'm a native born and raised Northern California gal. Have lived in several places in Northern California and happy where I've always lived. Enjoy traveling and if I met 'him' one day and it was called for that I move I would, yet I have always enjoyed Northern California. I'm age 35 + (how much + is of no matter) and speak from experience. You 'out there' ...wherever...do you also like where you're at.

I live in upstate South Carolina, and I've been here my entire life! I am 49 today, and I cannot imagine living anywhere except where I am. I have visited other states, and if I HAD to move, I guess I would settle on Johnson City, Tenn or thereabouts. Lovely country, that! But this is home, right here.

I can answer this with some experience. I've lived on both coasts, the plains, the mountains, and everywhere in between.
Of course you like where you are, my dear. That's what's familiar to you. I've known people who grew up in a certain place, and swore they hated it, then they missed it when they left. It's only natural.

Of all the places I have been, there are two places I would love to settle down in. One is Seattle, and the other is central Virginia. If you don't mind the rain, Seattle is a beautiful city, and there's lots of things to do around it. Virginia is simply a beautiful place all around -- that's where I truly am trying to end up.
Right now I'm in Philadelphia, and I really don't like it here.
Atlanta is too hot for me. Baton Rouge is nice, but you gotta live with the humidity. If you really want to experience some country living (exactly the opposite of northern California) go to eastern Kentucky.
My advice is, just get out there and start travelling. You'll never know until you see if for yourself. This is a large country, with many different climates and cultures, and you really ought to experience it all.
