how do other songwriters write your songs?

i like to write lyrics and music. but i just want to know how other lyrisist write. do you write from your heart or just for fun? or what. just wondering thanx :)

both. they write sometimes from the heart and sometimes to pay their bills. But i think you should write from the heart.
