In Korea people eat dogs. They believe that if dogs are tortured while cooked alive their meat will be an aphrodisiac. If you look at the photos of these cooked alive dogs you see them growling their teeth -- this is their reaction to being cooked alive. This is intolerably cruel. It must be stopped.

I agree that cooking dogs alive is barbaric and should be stopped. It is a vile practise and in a civilised world unacceptable.
Which part of Korea are you referring, North Korea or South Korea? Because it will be far easier to write to the South Korean government about this than the North Korean government.

I know that Korans eat dogs, and we cant saythat is curle, it is their food. IN India they think that other people are crule for eating cows.
It is, however, wrong to cook the animals alive. Maybe contactt he Humane Society Website. They currently do alot to stop the Canadian Seal Hunt. I myself am a member of this campanige,a s well as a campange to stop Ben and Jerries for usuing farm-tortued chidcken eggs, and a camaping to stop people eating Wild Horses. Go to the website and try to contact someone, it is a start.
If it gets enough support, the group could organize a boycott.

I've never heard of this before that horrible! buy a plane ticket, go to Korea and slap them in their faces! if that doesn't work...cook THEM alive and see how THEY like it! That's awful! POOR DOGS!!! the horrible thing is that there really isn't anything we can do to stop them! it's there belief and we can't change everybody's minds', we can either only change a few, make up some disease for dog, like Mad dog or the dog flu, or pray to god to destroy all of them! (only the people who kill poor dogs, not the innocent ones) or just pray that this cruelty stops. it would not be as bad if the dogs were killed then cooked, but cooked alive is inhumane. i love dogs but if that's what they eat, that's what they eat.

The problem with things like this is that these things can onl ybe stopped if everyone around the world came together and in a big-enough voice demanded the end of it. As much as I personally hate it myself, there is nothing you or I can do unless we get millions of people to speak out against it. I wish I could (without sounding cliche) save the rainforests and whales (from whaling). But really there isn't much I can do alone.
We're like termite in this way, to a house. One cannot do a thing. But a giant colony will bring the house down.

You are dealing with a different culture where it is acceptable and also normal to kill and eat dogs. They may ask the question " What can we do to save the millions of cows tortured, killed and eaten in America every year?. Did you know that in month of September in China 338 people contracted rabies and the country passed a law stating that each Family can have only one dog. The rest of them are being killed.

People who cook dogs alive outta be cooked alive themselves. To me, Eating dogs is like eating Humans. Dogs were put on the earth to be our companions and best friends and to many people they are like Children. My 3 dogs are the ONLY reason that I have survived my Screwed up life. I am not sure what to do about what is going on in Korea (or anywhere else in the world except that I hope that these "canibals" are punished by a higher power.....If I find out that some idiot is cooking up dogs in his kitchen in America I am sure going to put a stop to it tho!!

I have a dog and i love him to death. It makes me sick to know that if he were in that country people would cook him alive and eat him. But that is another country and we can't judge them because they eat animals that we don't. And i;m not sticking up for them but they don't see dogs as pets they see them as food and we can do nothing about it. Some people in other countries feel the same way about us eating other animals like chicken and pigs as we do about them eating dogs.

I fail to see your point- it is their culture, do you think twice about eating turkey on thanks giving or cow in the form of meat, pigs, chickens should i go on.
dogs to them are just one more food source. besides you need to know that they only eat white dogs.
Their economy can not substain the vast amounts of cattle that we have the luxury of, so they do what they can to live, if means eating dog then good luck to them.
I find that your view on this is a little narrow minded and think that if you actually went to korea and experienced the country first hand you would have some respect for their customs. You should stop commentating on issues you have half the facts on, make informed statements and questions in future please.

my husband was in china and went out to eat .while waiting for his food ,he needed to go to the toilet.he passed through the kitchen of the restruant,as the toilets were out back.what he saw horrified him.he told me he saw dogs tied with their paws behind their backs,as well as cats and snakes.he puked his guts out and will never eat chinese again.from mikhal in israel.
