would like to know why people sometime get surprised when they know I like liquorice, they ask if i'm a liquorice kind of guy. any suggestions? thx

This is a funny one haha. No offence but perhaps the thing in common is that they all go to the little room frequently. Yes I agree, I love it.

The taste of liquorice is unlike any other! I have stopped buying Midget Gems and Sports Mixtures, because they substituted the liquorice ones with poxy blackcurrant. Also I can't find a shop that sells the Bassett sticks. Then again, this is probably a good thing as I have not that many teeth left.

I think we liquorice people are a minority. I've been searching diligently for some gnarly black ropes but can't find any. There are all kinds of liquorice candy out there, but apparently I'm the only one who wants the black ropes.
As for being a certain kind of person because we like liquorice, I'm not sure what the common denominator is unless it's that we are intelligent charming people--ha!

I love liquorice too but no one ever seems surprised, they just either like it or they don't.

I don't know. I personally don't find liquorice nice at all. I can't stand its taste.

LOL I'd like to know too. You either love it or you hate it! (I love it too).
Try the liquorice from Finland...I forget what it's called, but it's absolutely salty and delicious...unlike anything you've had before!

ahhh..i suspect your not on about the lovely black chewy that tastes of aniseed..and liquorice and pernod...and absinthe... well i like that stuff..do they still make Barretts rock hard liquorice... (we used them when teething our squids... messy but great fun.

i doubt if there is.....my identical twin brother loves liquorice and i think it is disgusting and tastes like a marmite twiglets dipped in a cats rectum
