If the world suddenly turned into a tangerine, it would burn up and start to "fall/move" twords the sun. It would probably split apart, and no life would survive.
However, the chances of that happening are very, very slim, and If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it. I mean really, really don't worry about it, there is a better chance of the world turning into an overcooked Mud Pie, so that is what you should be worried about instead.

Well, you need to be clearer in your question. Will the giant tangerine have seeds? And will its center have the same density as the earth has? And were will you put the oceans and the continents? And will there still be an Eiffel Tower in Paris? And what about volcanoes? So many things you left out in your question.
Oh, and where will be tangerine tree stand that has the earth-tangerine on it? Who will water it and will it get enough sun? Oh, and what about the atmosphere? It has to have CO2 you know.
So many questions.

First all the ground would be orange and much much more bumpy, but to seriously answer, (who am I kidding, it's a question about a giant tangerine) a tangerine is much less dense than the earth, and rapidly spinning tangerines don't have magnetic fields, so yes things would be different.

That's the kind of thing that can only happen on Thursdays. I could never get a handle on Thursdays.

When that happens, I'll stab myself in the eye, or in the heart.
