This government makes 19 billion a year apparently (according to yahoo news this morning).
It makes enough sense that they would pay him off and its disgusting, all countries in the EU get all of our benefits as well as there own and we seem to be the people that are suffering, the immigration into this country increased ten fold when joining this great new state but we are not allowed to take anything out of this except smaller pay rises because of bigger competition for the jobs.
And the tax still rises

No he hasn't.
His decision was the correct one from a wider perspective.
On one hand we could haven't gotten cheaper fags and booze for Latvia, woo hoo.
On the other we have higher taxes as the government looks to make up lost revenue.
We also have higher unemployment because P&O goes bust because less people are using the ferry for booze cruises across the channel. So that's more money the government has to claw back so even HIGHER taxes.
The recently unemployed then start to binge drink on cheap Latvian booze and anti social behaviour increases meaning we need more Police on the beat and the country because an even bigger Police state than it is now.
Does anyone actually think fags and booze for Latvia would be of a decent quality at the end of the day?
Who cares they would have been cheaper is all I'm hearing.
Judge made a good call and actually went against the advice the EU gave him. Funny how we bemoan Eastern Europe when it comes to immigration but praise the cheapness of it all, and I can't remember if or when a good word was said about the EU.

No bribery required - appointment of judges is through EU system. UK only had to state how much financial harm it would do the government and that would have been enough ...... if the judges wish to keep their jobs!

No.
Judges in this type of circumstance do not act alone.
However, tax is always with us and even if you believe that tax on goods such as booze and fags is too high - there will hav eto be a quid pro quo.
If we must smoke and drink then at least we should get of our ar**s and shop ourselves.
Anyway, the internet shopping thing is grossly overrated.
Good, but not that good.
Any way, I like the sense of travel when I do it.
