Hey guys, I am about to buy a 2006 suzuki gsx-r but its frame is cracked by the screw in the engine mount. Can I fix that (or have sommeone fix it?) and about how much it would cost?

I am thinking about that or buying a new frame (which is about $1500!)... what should I do?

Thanks!

Yes, it's repairable, although it may not quite be as good as new. I believe this one has an aluminum frame, so I would recommend TIG welding it. Shouldn't be too much to have someone weld it, maybe $100 for the welding.

If it were mine I would sure try to find a good welding shop before I spent $1500 but then I guess it,s your money and decision.
