It depends on the context in which this question is asked. If you are talking about making friends or finding a b/f or g/f, then obviously nationality, race and skin colour do not matter. More important is that you speak a common language then you can communicate and you share similar values, then you will appreciate each other more and have less conflicts.

To some humans - clearly it does!
But then even humans are animals, so perhaps you should ask does 'species' matter?
Now look at the wider animal kingdom and imagine what happens when you mix them all up!!! Even insects devour other alien insects that might land in their nest!
So because of mother nature 'differences' do matter in all life forms - but that's mother nature for you.
Pity more politicians don't ever consider 'human nature' before they start sticking their big vote catching oars into their meddling pots.

Yes I think it is of enormous significance. A lot of the person you are will be determined by your nationality, like your sense of humour, the food you eat, and to a certain extent the way you look. But these things are not exclusive: you can still be English but like Italian food, whilst laughing at a French Joke etc.
Just don't let it become a divisive issue.

It would help if you had said in what way. Personally I like most in fact all nationalities, there is good and bad in all of us around the world. Perhaps it would help to get a good response if you put in the reason why and resubmitted the question.

I think it can cause some problems-people judge you, and differnt cultures have different beliefs, costoms and even foods; also your children will never know if they're this or that, but I'm dating someone from a different nationality and could not be happier, so it's basically what you think, if you REALLY love this person or not!

People put their boundaries
all people are the same.....wherever u were born, or your color or your ethnicity......or language.... it does not matter at all
The only difference between people is their Beliefs..... there is no difference between an Arabian and a foreigner else in Taqwa (fear of Allah and try to obey his commands)..

That's a very vague question. Can you be more specific?
Thanks for elaborating. I think that "Mitch" said it all. That is exactly how I feel as well.

No. We're all just human beings on planet earth. Which part of planet earth we happen to be born on is unimportant.
