I haven't read his work. I am an avid reader though so I will probably do so sooner or later. Is this an author that you would recommend?

I have only read Angela's Ashes but it was very good - after all it won a Pulitzer Prize. Haven't heard much about the other two but I spose they're good too. I'd rate AA at 8 out of 10. Loved the way he spelt peoples' accents - i.e. "You ijot" (something like that)!
