You can cut and paste into a single word doc - that is the easy part.

Next you need a PDF converter PDF Xchange Lite (google for it) which will allow you to print the document to a file in PDF format.

you can get a free pdf converter from here:

www.cutepdf.com

It is very easy to use once installed - I have been using it for years.

They also have something called "Cute pdf writer companion" which allows you to merge pdf documents. This is also free but they do "bundle" with it an advertising package - they do say, however, that this can be removed at any time.

If you didn't want the companion, you could just merge your Word docs and then use cute pdf to convert to one single pdf document.

I don't know why Kevin W got a thumbs down because he's right; Open Office Writer will import and save as Microsoft documents; it will also export as a PDF.
And its free. Plus you can download the tutorial.
http://www.openoffice.org

Its very easy to use. Open all the docs.
Copy and paste into one new document and save it.
Press the 'export as PDF' button on the toolbar.
Job done.
