Yes, Yahoo does not make IE&, Microsoft does, but Yahoo has been pushing for us to switch,,,now they are acknowledging probs with it. Glad not everyone has these prob, but for those who do, it is very frustrating.

This is never a surprise on any revision of software. This was a known from the day of release as well as the Secunia advisories for security issues. The common knowledge to all upgrades, If revision do not install 1-2 months after release, if a major patch 3-4 months if a complete new OS not for one year or until first major patch has been issued.
Most IT people do not download and use new software especially in a corporate environment until they are sure there are not a lot of problems with the software as it can cause a lot extra work for them.

Yes, I agree that IE7 is giving lots of people trouble. They have trouble with using it. They have trouble with plug-ins. They have trouble with secure websites. They have trouble with many things that they used to be able to do.

Uninstalling Internet Explorer 7

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore Internet Explorer 6 when using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
3. You might have to CHECK the box that says SHOW UPDATES
4. Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.

If you cannot find Internet Explorer 7 in Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Run, type
%windir%\ie7 \spuninst\spuninst.exe
(I added a space after ie7 so that the whole line would display)
and then press ENTER.

For more information, check this page at the Microsoft website. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/aa740486.aspx

If you have further trouble, you might try the RESTORE thing in the System Tools folder and go back a few days before you made this terrible mistake.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

I have downloaded IE7 from the Microsoft
Windows Update site and every thing is working fine. The Yahoo version may be another story.

IE is a Microsoft product, not a Yahoo product and yes, they have acknowledged "issues".

Yahoo! Whoopee! It's about time.

Shucks, if Microsoft pulls IE7, what will we talk about then?
