Try the big stores like M&S, Argos, Curry's etc, as they will be looking for temporary staff for the Christmas period. If you turn out to be any good they might offer you permanent work. Good luck and a Happy Christmas.

Most department stores are looking for temp staff up to Xmas - the post office take on extra post peoples (PC correct) for the extra mail. Supermarkets also take on extra staff. Just look in the windows of the stores or ask at the customer services desks.

There are lots of jobs going, but even more people applying for them. I have been interviewed at several of the big stores and they have 50 or so people for a handful of jobs, just keep asking and filling in the application forms...;

Any Argos store takes on at Christmas.
I did it one year. Hard work, but moneys good.
You need to have filled in an application form by now, but give them a call. They may be able to help.
