Conviction for Possession of a Class A Drug (MDMA). You will probably be lucky and not be charged with Possession with Intent to Supply, as 5 tablets might have been considered enough to suggest you were dealing. If you plead guilty or are convited at trial, you will indeed get a criminal record. You could get a custodial sentence up to 7 years, have to pay a fine, and/or be made subject to a Community Order under the supervision of the Probation Service depending on factors such as your previous offending history, whether you plead guilty, etc.

Extasy is considered a class A drug in the UK (along with cocaine and heroin), so if your caught with it, depending on what they have determined to be the amount where possession becomes the intent to traffic, you will most likely get a fine and some community service, as well it will go on your record. If you had too many on you, you will go to jail. I would talk to a lawyer and find out what the amount is where your possession would become, in the laws eyes, an intent to traffic. But you definitly won't get away with it when it comes to X.
Also, not that I'm saying doing drugs of any kind is good in the first place, but, if you want to use an Extasy type drug go with pure MDMA (extasy in it purest form), that way its not mixed with Speed, heroin, or coke, you don't burn out at all like you do with the mixed crap and its non-habit forming. OR you can just play it totally safe and stick with Pot it's a catagory C drug and is considered LESS dangerous then smoking tobacco!

OMG, hide them...hide them!
And in birmingham ive known ppl to get arrested and put in a cell over night for only having 2 pills on them!
So london....your looking at a bit the same i guess!
Remember, they never check between socks and shoes, lol

The bouncers would prob just take them of you if it was them that found them at the door, they wouldn't want to police logging a call out to their club so wouldn't phone the boys in blue!
In reality you'll take one as soon as your there if not before so you will only really be carrying 3 and in all honesty I think the police would take them of you, caution you at most and send you on your merry way!

criminal record for life and you have to inform any employer
charged and sent to court
6mths and or 500.00 fine
advice dont do it it will fuvk you for life
