One of two things. They all messed up their one dinner here one dinner there schedule, or their wives are afraid of you. Mothers usually tend to have a harder time being accepting of their sons' wives. Many women go into marriage subconsciously 'knowing' that there is no way they are going to be accepted. So you do the reaching out and prove to them that you do accept them, by inviting them over for thanksgiving before they even make plans with their own families.

They ussually do it to make there spouse happy and if it bothers you maybe you can ask them to alternate it!Where one year they eat with them and the next with you!They just might be understanding if you talk to them!It is nice when you can eat as a family!

oh my god...that is so true. I have 3 brothers all older than me and they spend every christmas with there friggn in laws and not with us........ ( im in aus so we dont do the turkey thing). maybe its the whole " I have to keep my wife happy" thing. finally.... I dont feel so alone on this topic.....

Well, then I guess they all we be home for Christmas. You have to teach them to share. one holiday at one house the other with the other. Or make 2 stops in a day. But not coming home is not good. You have to shar ein the families and know that your roots are where you have to be firm.

I have 3 married sons and they all eat at my house...Always have..
I guess it all averages out....
Perhaps you might suggest that they come over to your house
next year....Or have a Christmas or Anniversary Dinner ....

I don't know. Are you rude to their wives? Do you make them feel like crap most of the time they're around? That's why I don't go to my bf's family's.
