I am hoping that there are some folks on here who live in the Bible belt but anyone can answer my question. I'm a lesbian and I was raised in the Church of Christ (not to be confused with the Mormon faith.) For those of you who don't know, the CoC (Church of Christ) is a nondenominational fundamentalist church that is prevalent in the South. Needles to say they are anti gay. It took me years to realize I was a lesbian and come to terms with it but, now I have and I couldn't be happier. My problem is I feel like I am the only person from the CoC to ever come out of the closet and this sometimes makes me feel very alone. Intellectually I know this is unlikely but I have yet to find some one else from the CoC who is gay. My question is: is anyone out there who is gay, out of the closet preferably, and a previous CoC member or knows some one who is that I can get into contact with via e-mail and are there any support groups for gay previous CoC members and how do I get in touch with them.
