I know this is stupid, but I had an argument with somebody at Thanksgiving. They complained because I let my food get mixed together. Upon asking other people, a lot of people try to keep the food items separated on their plate. I found this absurd. What is so bad about mixing turkey with stuffing, or potatoes with squash? Some foods are meant to be mixed together. I happen to love a sandwich made of turkey, dressing, cranberries, and cole slaw.

I have had the same dumb arguement, LOL, and I always say that the food all ends up mixed together so what is the harm in letting it mix together on the plate? People need to chill. I am right there with you, I love turkey and cranberry sandwiches with alittle dressing.

someone actually complained to you over the Thanksgiving meal that your food was touching! Now that is just looking for something to complain about.
hahahahahaha
It all gets mixed up in your tummy anyway. I have a friend who eats each kind of food individually. never mixing two types of food in their mouth at one time.
I don't say anything, although I asked about the way they ate one time and regretted it. Took them 15 minutes to defend themselves to me.
I was not criticizing, just curious.
I think you were a victim of holiday stress.
hehe

Really, it depends on what I'm eating. If pancakes or french toast is being served, I always make a seperate plate for my eggs, bacon, ect. I can't STAND it when my syprup touches my eggs or bacon.
Thanksgiving dinner though is different. I don't mind my turkey mixing up with my taters and/or stuffing. Just don't let the cranberry sauce touch any of it though.
Everyone thinks I'm the wierd one...eff em...lol

I like each thing separated (altho I'm better about it than I used to be). I have been picked on about not wanting my different foods touching for so LONG - so now I'm not as picky about it and others leave me alone (usually)

I like mixing my food together! However, I do leave little pieces of it apart just so that I can taste it separately before I dig in... :-)

I like to keep mine separated, but I think to each his or her own, whichever way you like it is fine. I love the mixed sandwiches, the next day as well.

I think sometimes it is better to get them mixed together. Especially corn and mashed potatoes.
