Limewire isn't great to contradict the more ignorant among you.
Various sites provide links from which you can save targeted songs to your computer. For example:
www.singingfish.com
But any copying or saving of song files to your computer or mp3 device is considered illegal. Although not everybody who shares music like this is sued, many times record companies will launch class-action suits against those with x number of megabytes downloaded.

i don't know a particular website, but there are many many places. before i used limewire, wich i use now. i still seldomly use Ares, it's similar to limewire but works well and you can just use a setting so you don't share any of your personal sh*t. and you can just transfer it in as you would with limewire. other than that if it's more top 10 songs you listen to on iTunes they have the #1 song for free on the download. hope i helped!

There's not great places to find "free music". I do enjoy listening to podcasts though - and they're totally free. Plus, iTunes has a free download every week. Also, look on your favorite artists websites and see if they offer free downloads.

Limewire is the best music download program, it has a huge population of free shareware aka music!!
