I have very irregular periods. Sometimes I can have one three months in a role other times I can't have one for about four months and when I do, it's very painfull. I have been married for two years and I desperately want a baby. How can I become pregnant cause I have heard they are different positons and stuff... does that really matter? Sex without a condom just won't do it. Please help!!

You shouldn't rush things for a start. There's no need to worry about fertillity unless you have been trying for at least a year without any results. I don't really know what to say as you are so irregular but just keep trying. Women wishing to conceive should make love every other day for a ten day period during the middle of their cycle. Studies have shown that five days before and five days after the projected ovulation date are the most promising times to become pregnant. Stay away from lemon juice, it kills sperm, not just directly but by also altering acid levels in the body. Stay away from things high in caffiene, it reduces the chances of conception in both men and women. Tea is ok though, actually, if taking an infusion from 125g (4oz) or more of black or green tea a day can double or even triple your chances of conception. Say NO to alcohol whilst trying for a baby. Also soya products are bad for conception as they can reduce the sperm count in men, they have chemicals that mimic the action of female hormones. That's all i know and i really hope it helps. Good luck!!!

My advice is to see a doctor first. Maybe the fact that your period doesn't come every month means something. Maybe it doesn't mean anything but checking never hurt anybody. After you check this, you can consult your doctor for the best way to get pregnant, what suits you and your body. I encourage your partner to get checked too. Sperm count won't hurt either.
