These folks have NEVER had to accept the full responsibility and consequences of their behaviors -- they never had any demands on them, and expect others to bow to their every whim.
That is how one becomes an Adult Baby. They did NOT and DO NOT want to grow up and become the responsible adults that all others HAVE to be -- because ... NO ONE is there to catch us when we have problems ... and we have to find the SOLUTIONS and take FULL Responsibility for the messes we are in and the problems we cause in daily life.

A large part of the adult baby fetish is to do with relieving stress. People (men and women) who indulge in this often do so to switch off from the everyday pressures that they live with.
In a relationship, it can add another very caring and loving dimension - not able to be experienced any other way.
There are different levels of adult baby behaviour too. Some simply have a dummy / pacifier... some drink from bottles... some wear adult sized baby clothes and sleep in a crib... as far as I am concerned, if it gives them pleasure and doesn't hurt anyone - why would anyone else care?
As for adult babies being 'freaks' - that is absolute and complete nonsense. If that really is your take on it - then please... open your mind and grow up.

If you are never taught anything
and people always do things for you..
How are you suppose to do it as an Adult...
If no one ever let you wash clothes
how are you suppose to do this as an Adult.

Because when they were growing up, their parents did everything for them. They never learned how to do anything for themselves so when they move out of the parents home, if they ever do, they are lost and don't know how to behave.

I feel that parents enable this quality in their children while they are growing up by giving in to their wants. It is actually easier to placate a crying child by giving into them, and to takes more effort to be consistent in letting "no" mean no.

Hm...I think just because they're an adult, they think they can do whatever they want and not get in trouble.

Easy. Their parents never disciplined them for fear of harming their little egos, always bailed them out of a difficult situation, gave them everything they wanted, never made them earn it.

Because their mommy take care of them too much and they became a mama's boy.
