My car is 96 chevy prism. Especially in the winter, my car is very noisy (I think it's from somewhere further than glove compartment, I assume that it's the engine) until it gets warm and usually it takes 20-30 mins. when I wait for traffic light, even passers-by can recognize the noise. In the summer it's totally o.k .
Do I have to do something? Thanks!

Warped, or loose heat sheild around the exhaust manifold, or catalitic converter.

Take it to a muffler shop and have them check it out.
Probably cost you $60.

This is kinda normal though not that bad. Get it checked with a dealer.
