The implications of Stalin's comment are chilling to anyone who thinks about the possibilities. The freedom we have enjoyed is a very thin veneer that easily can disappear. Many fear that happened in the 2000' election, and just that fear alone erodes our country. Everything must be done to ensure that those that count the votes don't decide the election, or this elegant attempt at democracy in a world of tyranny will vanish like dew in the morning sunlight.

Hmm... Stalin's never right, we can always fight and everything. Most vote counters really aren't all that bad, they're usually nice stamp collectors and all. It's the people who bribe them who decide everything.
