Lycanthropy. that is the only proven type of werewolf. someone who honestly beleives that is what they are, the mind is a very powerful thing. they are convinced and they have cravings for flesh, get nevous over the full moon, other such things. there is no proof that human beings can change form, but then again, there is no proof ultimately for the existence of God. it all comes down to beleif. and i personally beleive that they don't exist in the way that legend states it. but there has to be some grain of truth because cultures who never coincided came up with similar if not identical myths and legends about werewolves even if they had different names. there is a word for werewolf in almost every language. even native american.

There are plenty of Ancient texts out there for you to read. But will you accept and understand what you are reading is another story.. You can start with your local libraries and just go from there. Not all of these ancient text are written in English but there is always a translated text out there. And you will have to look for them, And looking for them will really test how serious you are about this subject................... It is so easy not to believe, But the people that wrote these some of these very ancient text did not write them to protect themselves from a wild case of someone's imagination...... The people of this world have been attacked and killed by some very strange creatures and many of them survive some very strange a attacks by using these ancient texts, and their stories are out there for all to see.................................

Do you mean the type that actually exist, or the fictional ones? If you mean the fictional ones, I don't know. However, if you mean the real ones, here's a link:
