Can someone please tell me what the problem may be? At times I have to press the gas pedal to get it to start. Can someone please tell me what the problem may be? I'm trying my best to not spend a lot of money on this car anymore. Thanks. Lost In Louisiana!

You know this might just be something simple that a simple oil and filter change might fix. Try adding one of those gasoline additives before you give up. Also, the people at you local auto zone or o'reily's auto parts will be happy to troubleshoot with you. And they are free sources of really good, professional help.

The catera was one of the biggest looser cars ever made. It's a corsica with a cadilac emblem & leather seats. A real lemon! The best advice I can give you is to trade it in. there is no telling what is wrong with that car. they have HUGE computer problems and that sounds like it could be your problem.

Open the hood.
There is a small vacuum hose behind the intake that you can't see. But you can feel it. It's kind of to the right side near the fire wall.
Reach back with you right hand to the backside of the intake. You'll feel a small vacuum port protruding with a hose hanging right next to it.
