Me and my wife are having a divorce. The problem is, she is pregnant with my son. She hates me very much, and is spiteful and will do anything to hurt me. She knows I want a masculine son who I can play football and such with. She is trying to prevent this. She told me, and she is not bluffing (she does not think right), that when my son is born she will name him ***** McGayhomo, in an attempt to make him less manly! I need a legal way to stop her, please help me. Don't think this is her hormones or she is just threatening, I assure you, she will do it if I can't stop her.

In most states in the US and provinces in Canada, names must be registered and names that could be construed as detrimental to a child's development (rude, punny, cruel, etc.) are not allowed to be registered. So obviously she wouldn't be allowed to do that. And you could petition the court to allow you to have a say in naming your son, that any name she chooses must meet your approval. However, I truly doubt she would try to ruin her own son's life with a name like that. I don't know any mother who would. Talk to your lawyer.

naming a child ***** McGayHaddan probbaly qualifies as child abuse nowadays even in a PC crowd

it is not her sole decision if you are married and not divorsed, she does not get the right to solely decide a childs name, I would get a lawyer she sounds like a nutcase mode. it would probably go on record as a reason she is an unfit mother and you can probably eventually get custody if she's that nuts because if she really acts like this you might need to intervene legally to protect the child from other nutty things she does if her judgement is this poor

It is hormonal problem you have to put up with your wife. Don't divorce her support her she will get back to normal once the baby is born. The anti-natal clinic can explain.

Then I think maybe you should talk to the court about her craziness and petition for custody of the child immediately at birth. Good luck.
Also, maybe you should watch out for crazy people next time before you marry them......
