The drama department at my school is going to be holding auditions for CATS and I was wondering who you would say are the leads and who has the best songs. I'm going into this mainly as an alto singer, so yeah. Thanks! And please don't say to rent the movie because I can't seem to find it anywhere. Trust me I've tried and this is my last resort! I love the movie cats,there really aren't leads,my favorite cat is the tap dancing cat she has a big part and sings and dances,she has a very cute song and the best intro out of all the cats,Break a leg!

The most well known song from the show, "Memories" is sung by Grizabella. It is a difficult song, but if you are a good singer don't let it scare you. Have you tried getting a CD? It would be good to at least listen to the music before you you audition.

I'm a huge fan of Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer! Their song and dance is so awesome and the audience LOVES it! Shouldn't be a prob for an alto singer! Good luck and have fun!

I love the music in CATS! Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer is one of my favorite songs. If you can do some acrobats I'd try out for Rumpleteazer. She is cute and has a fun role!

The Cat who sings "Memories". I love that show! I know you said you looked everywhere for it but did you try your public library? Libraries usually carry the video.

wow, Cats, is one of my favorite musicals there is a lot of dancing my favorite is the white cat, idont remmber her name but she is very flexible and in the broadway show she did an amazing job, it was orginally 13 poems about cats before it was a musical! good luck!
